Planning — Account and Use Terms
Version: pln-terms-2026-10-29-v1. Effective date: 29 October 2026.
Provider and scope
Planning (installed as MSS Planning) is provided by Luca Villa, operating MotorsportSoftware. Contact: [email protected]. These terms concern Planning account access and use. Before a paid purchase, Sales supplies the applicable offer and seller details, price, taxes, duration and cancellation or refund conditions. Creating an account does not place a paid order or authorise automatic renewal. These account terms do not replace the information and rights applicable to a paid purchase.
Personal accounts and access
Planning uses a Motorsport Software account, common to the simpler Motorsport Software apps (today Planning, soon MSS Workshop): the same email address and password sign you in to each of them. Runsheet and Tire Pressure Predictor keep separate accounts for now. Each app has its own terms, trial, licence and sessions: accepting these terms adds Planning to your account, and a trial or licence of another app does not include Planning. A password change or reset applies to the whole account and signs you out of every app that uses it, and closing the account ends access to each of them.
Use an email address you control, complete the required verification and protect your password. Each personal account permits one active Planning desktop session at a time. A confirmed takeover replaces the previous session. Separate licensed seats are for separate people; account credentials should not be shared to combine those seats.
Eligible accounts receive a 30-day Planning trial starting when they start using Planning: when email verification of a new account is completed, or when an existing Motorsport Software account accepts these terms. Creating duplicate accounts to repeat the introductory trial is not permitted. Paid access is assigned by Sales and begins and expires as stated in the applicable order or account record.
Full access can continue offline for up to 30 days after successful online validation, without extending the underlying access expiry. After that window, saved work remains available in read-only mode unless an access denial or another account restriction requires sign-in. A server denial, revoked access, invalid account scope or changed session can require an online sign-in. Once access expires, read-only functions allow consultation and permitted exports or backups; editing and restoring a backup require full access. Read-only access does not mean that future online services are guaranteed indefinitely.
Your data and the people you plan
You retain your rights in the content you supply. Planning data is stored on your computer and is not synchronised to MotorsportSoftware or to any cloud service; keep suitable independent backups. Backups and exports are files you keep and share yourself. Switching accounts does not combine their local workspaces.
Planning is used to record personal data of other people, such as the names, contacts, roles, travel times and working days of crew members and the names of drivers. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any permission needed to enter, keep and share that data, for informing the people concerned, and for answering their requests. MotorsportSoftware does not receive that data through the app, unless you include it in feedback you choose to send. Exports, printouts, backups and database or list files contain it: share them only with people who may receive it.
The Privacy Notice at Privacy Notice explains account records, diagnostics, usage measurement, providers and rights. Marketing consent is optional and separate from acceptance of these terms.
Calculations and responsible use
Planning calculates working days, counters and conflict warnings from the dates, times and day rules you enter. Results depend on that input and on the rules you define. Check them against your agreements with each person, applicable employment and working-time rules and sporting regulations before using them for pay, contracts or operational decisions. The team and the person planning remain responsible for those decisions; conflict warnings do not prevent an assignment and are not a guarantee that a plan is complete or compliant.
Do not misuse the service, bypass access checks, attack other accounts, or upload unlawful content. Reasonable action may be taken to address abuse or security incidents; contact support if you believe a restriction or licence decision is incorrect.
Updates and changes
Updates may correct defects, change compatibility or introduce account features. Download installers and updates only from the official Planning download sources, and maintain backups before upgrading. The app's update behaviour is described in the interface.
We record the version of these terms associated with your registration and communicate material changes where required. Contact support about access problems, service complaints, account closure or questions about these terms. Applicable mandatory consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected; nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a remedy where the law does not permit that exclusion or limitation.
